Rental Rates
Rates quoted are for 2 people and are valid through December 31, 2014. The minimum stay is four nights; a nine night stay is required during Ironman month (October) and during any reservations which begin in December. All rentals are subject to a 4.16% Hawaii State General Excise Tax + a 9.25% Transient Accommodations Tax (13.25% tax total). A "last minute escape" rate may be available if you make your reservation less than 14 days before arrival. A long term discount is available for stays of 28 nights or more.
An $100 cleaning surcharge is added to all stays of less than seven nights.
If additional guests will be occupying the unit, there will be a $10 per person per day additional charge which shall be applied. Please note that occupancy by more than 4 people in a one bedroom unit is against the Kona Makai Association rules.

Payment Policy
A deposit of 20% must be received within 10 days of making a reservation in order to hold the reservation for reservations booked more than 9 months prior to arrival date. Full payment must be received at least 75 days before your arrival into Kona.
We accept credit cards (Visa Mastercard Discover Paypal) and checks (personal, business, cashiers).
Refund and Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your reservation, you will receive a full refund if you cancel within 10 days of booking your stay. If you cancel with less than 75 days notice, you will be liable for the entire rental fee. (Note that if the condominium can be rented for any or all of your stay to another party, you will receive a full refund for those days rented.)
Please report any equipment or appliance failures immediately. We will do our best to have the appliance repaired during your stay. There will be no refunds or rent reductions for any mechanical failure, inclement weather, or storm doors that may have to be placed for your safety during high surf.
